Polydeck received an urgent request from Mace to produce a suitable floor finish for corridors and kerbs at GSK’s plant in Coleford.
Challenge and Solution
In order to meet a demanding schedule, Polydeck recommended the use of BASF Mastertop systems, which would meet the performance requirements of the floor and be achievable within the timescale and site constraints.
The existing surfaces were broken out and prepared, whilst maintaining a dust free environment. Fast cure screed was applied, which overlaid with BASF Mastertop 1324 thin section elastomeric polyurethane floor finish.
The system provided a tough, crack resistant, cushioned floor, which helps to reduce the noise from wheeled traffic.
The contract was completed within minimum disruption for the client, and fully met the client’s brief in terms of performance and aesthetics.
