Resin finishes are hard wearing, easy to clean, hygienic, maintenance free and have a long lifespan. Resin flooring is frequently installed in rail maintenance depots in areas such as UFC, shed wash, MFB, CET, wheel lathe pits and maintenance roads.

Generally, a high degree of slip resistance is required and will exceed 36 PTV in the wet which is achieved with the following systems:

• Epoxy resin Sandwich or grip systems comprise build ups of resin layers encapsulating anti-slip graded quartz, bauxite or aluminium oxide to provide a very hard wearing slip resistant finish. The product profile can be varied in slip resistance and coarseness by changing the size and type of aggregate. The systems can be applied form 1.25mm to 6mm in thickness to suit the undulation and profile of the subfloor and the type of environment.
• Ultra fast curing MMA resin flooring again laid as a sandwich system of pigmented layers encapsulating anti-slip graded quartz, bauxite or aluminium oxide to provide a very hard wearing slip resistant finish. The systems can be applied form 4.0mm to 6mm in thickness to suit the undulation and profile of the subfloor and the type of environment.
  This system is installed rapidly in all temperatures and can be laid in environments of -10 degrees centigrade allowing minimal downtime and disruption for the area. This flooring is ideal for winter time application.
• Vertical faces to road pits, wheel lathe etc are normally installed with a thixotropic grade of coating in either high build epoxy resin tradition vertical coating of approximately 0.3mm thickness in two coats. Where a coating is required to new concrete we would specify a water based pigmented epoxy resin coating in two coats.
