Hospitals

Previously the domain of soft flooring, tiles and laminates, Industrial resin flooring allows for a new take on high performance durable and attractive finishes in hospital environments.

Resin finishes are hard wearing, easy to clean, hygienic, maintenance free and have a long lifespan.

The main types of flooring installed within this sector are:

• Flexible Polyurethane resin, pigmented comfort flooring solutions. These are soft to the touch, sound attenuating, crack bridging and hard wearing. Ideal locations are wards and circulation areas, laboratories and clean rooms.
• Resin Terrazzo screeds which are hand laid, diamond ground and polished to reveal beautiful and hard wearing finishes. Ideal for receptions and operating rooms.
• Decorative resin flake flooring which provides a beautiful mottled appearance with multi coloured PVA flakes embedded into a pigmented resin and sealed with clear resins. Ideally installed in walkways, supermarkets, garages, showrooms, Atriums, reception areas Available in Epoxy resin and ultra-fast curing MMA resin.
• Epoxy resin coatings of 0.5mm thickness are commonly installed in plant room areas, back of house corridors which are subject to foot and light wheeled traffic. These products are economic, quickly installed and can be smooth or textured. The coatings are waterproof, oil and chemical resistant and hard wearing.
• Polyurethane 9mm resin screeds have a long track record of installation within Mortuary rooms throughout the UK. With a very heavy resistance to impact and a good slip resistance, these flooring systems are very hygienic, chemical resistant, quickly installed and with a long service life.

Whatever project you may have requiring a resin system within a hospital environment Polydeck Resins can assist with specifying the correct product and install the finish to a very high standard.
