The works were completed on a fast track programme, in order to accommodate the client’s fit-out programme.
Project
A wide range of processes were to be carried out at the new facility. The areas were identified in terms of activities, and systems were chosen on performance criteria in terms of chemical resistance and durability.
Solution
Systems varied from basic coatings of 800-micron thickness, to heavier duty self-smoothing epoxy installed at a 2mm thickness to heavy duty polyurethane 9mm thick and vinyl ester treatments to accommodate the corrosive nature of operations in certain areas.
The various floor finishes applied fulfilled the client’s requirements in the differing areas, in terms of aesthetics, durability, chemical resistance, and ease of maintenance.
