The finished product provides a bright working environment for workers and customers alike, which is easy to clean and can withstand the rigours of a very busy service centre.
Project
Polydeck were employed to provide flooring solutions for servicing workshops at Newport Pagnell. The existing substrate had many problems including cracked and spalling joints, uneven stepped concrete slabs and 50 years of various floor finishes.
Challenge
The challenge was to provide a flat, smooth and decorative floor finish which could cope with the rigours of a very active service/repair centre and to eliminate the need to reproduce live expansion and concrete day joints within the new finish.
Solution
An area of 3500m² was scabbled to remove old finishes, resin, and Mastertop 1324 with a comfort floor flexible polyurethane resin finish. DPM layer was applied with 10mm Mastertop 524 cementitious pumped levelling screed, with a final layer of Mastertop 1324 elastomeric polyurethane resin.
