The most important thing to a pet owner is the health and safety of their pet whilst they are away having treatment at the vets, making it important that the fabric of the building is constructed and maintained to the highest hygienic standards and will not add to the pets problems during its stay.
Our expert team firstly installed the new floor drainage, flowing into an existing central discharge gully, next any existing floor imperfections were infilled and then the entire top surface of the existing concrete floor was prepared using diamond grinders coupled up to dust suppression and collection equipment. Following a full vacuum of the surface to collect any stray dust particles the primer was applied and left overnight to cure. The following morning the primed floor was checked for defects before applying the first coat of SikaFloor 264, again leaving it overnight to cure before applying the top finish coat. Our customer chose a modern grey colour with a gloss finish for their top coat.

This product was selected as it offers strong chemical, mechanical and abrasion qualities while providing a superb showroom gloss finish, meaning that it will withstand animal urine and powerful cleaning products and the everyday wear and tear of a very busy vets kennel area easily.
